Mel Pritchard has been a big fan of the HIQFF since her first visit in 2003. From 2005 to 2010 she was a member of the festival team, curating the short film programmes. During this time, she was also involved in other queer film festivals in Europe. After her return to Australia she curated films for a lesbian online film service and was on the viewing committee of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival. She runs The Big Queer Film Festival List, an online calendar with an overview of all queer film festivals worldwide. She is looking forward to working with this year’s festival jury and is bringing one of her favourite films from Australia to Hamburg!
